AndrewOS

Thanks for accessing AndrewOS. This software is required to control Andrew, the pipetting robot, and you should be concerned and authorized in downloading it only if you are an Andrew owner. If you are an Andrew owner, it is definitely convenient and effective to keep andrewOS updated. Most of the features of Andrew, its speed, its functionality, its precision and its management of the different consumables, are coded into this software. To give you an idea of its complexity, e.g. the Andrew intelligence, version 1.04 was composed by 47’878 lines of programming code, that corresponds to a book of 1167 pages. If it would be ever printed, it would be a 55 mm thick book (about 2 inches).

AndrewOS is actually resident on the control PC connected to Andrew: so, any PC connected to one Andrew machine needs to have AndrewOS installed. If you have multiple PCs connected to the same Andrew, then each PC needs AndrewOS in order to communicate with the robot.

While Andrew Lab, the protocol design software, runs on almost all platforms, AndrewOS is presently limited to Windows ™ 10, 8.1, 8 and 7 systems (32 and 64 bits).
