Andrew™: New Product Award at SLAS 2013!

Andrew ™, by Andrew Alliance, wins the 2013 New Product Award (NPA) from SLAS in Orlando (USA).

More than 66 new products were launched at SLAS 2013, and three companies were selected by a panel of judges to receive the SLAS New Product Award (NPA) Designation, recognizing the best of what’s new on the exhibit floor.  Each year, a panel of SLAS judges scrutinizes new products and services on display at the SLAS Exhibition and awards up to three SLAS NPA Designations. The judges consider achievement in four compelling areas:

• Market opportunity ‐ narrow or broad in scope
• Impact on the field of laboratory automation, screening, technology and drug discovery
• Extraordinary technical originality
• Quality of supporting data

The exhibition is a highly valued component of the Annual SLAS Conference and Exhibition.
“Every new product is of interest to SLAS members” says SLAS President Dave Dorsett. “But some new technologies always stand out for being exceptionally innovative and inspiring. It’s these game changers that are celebrated with SLAS New Product Award Designations.”

The Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS) welcomed nearly 3,800 participants from 44 countries to SLAS2013, the Second Annual SLAS Conference and Exhibition, at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, FL, USA, Jan. 12-16, 2013. This five-day annual event brings together scientists, academicians, business leaders and students from around the globe to gain new information, ideas and insight about laboratory science and technology.
