Sam Eletr

Director

Sam is a serial entrepreneur, currently acting as chairman and founder of Population Genetics Technologies, SpinX Technologies, and Rhythm Diagnostics Systems. He has also held positions as a Director at Domain Therapeutics, Third Wave Technologies, and I-STAT (acquired by Abbott), co-founded Lynx, and directed Solexa, genomics companies acquired by Illumina. Prior to that, Sam left HP to create Applied Biosystems (ABI) where he was Chairman and CEO. At Andrew Alliance, Sam applies the best of the California entrepreneurs’ spirit, vision and energy.

Vincent Ossipow

Director

Vincent joined Omega Funds as a Venture partner in 2014. Previously, Vincent worked with Sectoral Asset Management as a Partner for private investments. Prior to that he was a Research Fellow at the University of Geneva working on the molecular basis of brain function. He has also acted as co-manager of the Pictet Biotech Fund, a USD $2bn listed investment vehicle. Vincent trained as a postdoctoral fellow in University of Geneva and at the National Cancer Institute following a Ph.D. in molecular biology from the University of Geneva and holds a Ph.D. and a CFA.

Erik Norstroem

Erik Norström is Head of Corporate Development and a member of the Management Board of Tecan A.G since 2017.  Before, he served as Corporate Vice President of Business Development at Chr. Hansen Holding in Denmark, a global bioscience company. From 2012 to 2015, Erik Norström was Head of Business Development and M&A at Nobel Biocare AG, Zürich. Prior to this, he was Head of M&A and Alliances at Nobel Biocare AG, Zürich (2008-2012), and before that he served as Corporate Development Director at F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG, Basel (2001-2008). Erik Norström holds a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology  and a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the Göteborg University of Economics.

Piero Zucchelli

Before founding Andrew Alliance, Piero was CTO of SpinX Technologies for 8 years. In that role, he led the development for one of the most advanced microfluidics platforms. Prior to that, Piero was a staff member at CERN in Geneva, spending 11 years developing particle detectors and managing the underlying innovative developments. Piero received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Physics for work performed at Stanford University and CERN. He was awarded the international “Tomassoni and Chisesi” prize for a revolutionary invention, the beta-beam, and is a member of the Editoral Board of the SLAS Technology Journal.
