Real-time pressure profile control is a critical component to successful extraction methods. Automated pressure control is now possible thanks to a completely new vacuum pump with full connectivity to the OneLab Software built-in.

With our signature, intuitive approach to method design, users can now easily program a pressure profile that will be strictly followed during protocol executions – without any manual, on-device interventions necessary.

Automation-friendly Vacuum Manifold

Say goodbye to manual extraction methods

After pipetting directly into extraction labware and triggering the Extraction+ Connected Vacuum Pump, the Andrew+ Robot can then grab, lift and move the Extraction+ collar back and forth between the idle and active positions of the manifold base. Moving the collar grants access to the insides of the device for automated exchanges of waste and collection labware.

When working with large volumes, or if no waste collection labware is needed, the Vacuum Manifold of the Extraction+ device enables continuous waste flow-through towards a collection bottle.

The Extraction+ device allows for automation of plate and cartridge-format SPE depending on the add-on kits you choose. Equip the Extraction+ device with the Plate, 1 cc, 3 cc or 6 cc Cartridge Kits for maximum consumable flexibility.

For maximum capture and no cross-contaminations, various SBS format collection plates can sit at different heights within the device thanks to dedicated plate spacers (3mm, 15mm and 17mm). Mix and match them to fine-tune your optimal configuration.

Specially designed, automation-friendly racks exist for both tubes and vials in 12x and 24x formats – to perfectly match up with the available cartridge adaptor formats.

Both collection plates and collection labware racks can be moved by the Andrew+ robot using the Microplate Gripper tool.

The following work demonstrates the new capabilities and flexibility of the Andrew+ Pipetting Robot in combination with the Extraction+ Connected Device, controlled by OneLab™ Software, for fully automated Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) sample preparation in cartridge and plate SPE formats.
